Migration issue - from 2015 iMac to 2024 M4 chip Mac Mini

I used migration assistant to transfer everything bar cookies from an old 2015 iMac to new M4 chip MacMini, but a folder named documents which contained all letters I'd written is nowhere to be found on the Mac Mini. Can anyone advise please?
