Why Visual Look Up is not working on my iPhone 12?

I am unable to get visual lookup to work on my iphone-12. Running 18.4.1, i believe all the settings are correct based on what I am reading in the communities specifically:

Show Content in Search is on

Enhanced visual search is on

not sure what else needs to be enabled, but reading through the communities I haven't found anything specific.
