Family organizer stuck by Screen Time passcode on own iPhone

I am the family organizer and set up screen time limits for our kids. Attempted to update something on my phone and the screen time password was required. Again, this was not my child’s phone, this was an adult over 18‘s phone requiring a password to update a contact. What the actual?

Removing “Downtime Contact” from my name on my daughter’s phone My daughter received her first phone at a young age, so at that time I enabled downtime and restrictions, including setting specific contacts she could call/text during downtime. As she’s gotten older, I’ve removed most restrictions and eliminated the need for specific contacts she can have more freedom. However, in spite of removing all specific contacts, she still has me listed as a downtime contact and can’t change my profile photo or edit the contact information on her own, without asking for the password. I even disabled downtime, and it still wouldn’t remove me from a downtime contact, therefore blocking her from editing the information. Is there anything I can do to remove the downtime contact notation so she has control of her own phone again? For now, I’ve changed the passcode for screen time and given it to her, but I’d like to remove the need for a passcode by eliminating issue itself. Screen time limits disappearing Screen time limits are disappearing for both my kids. Neither is deleting them. I set screen time limits for my kids‘ iPhones, and they work great... but then after a while they vanish! It’s happened a few times now, and there doesn’t seem to be any pattern to it. Their “always on” list will seem to reset at the same time? It’s really unreliable and it’s starting to make me question if this isn’t reliable, what is!??

screen time is ridiculous. Any child can bypass in two minutes Is there any way to apply my screen time limits to my CHILD's PHONE rather than, ahem, my child's apple id? Figure out from my question how easy it is for any child to bypass your settings in a matter of minutes. Screen time does not block the PHONE. Any way to fix this? thanks for nothing, apple

A screen time passcode can be set on any phone and even for users that are over 18. Setting a Screen Time passcode on your child's phone does not set one on your device, but it may have been done by accident. Follow the link provided by MrHoffman to reset the Screen Time passcode.

If you share your Apple Account with anyone else, then a Screen Time passcode set on the other device using your Apple Account will be added to your device by default.
