Unable to use Apple Cash to pay Apple Card bill

Yesterday I noticed I had quite a bit of money accumulated as Apple Daily Cash. I decided to use it to pay my monthly balance on my Apple Card. I successfully set up the Apple Cash Card and transferred my Daily Cash balance onto it. Today I researched the steps to enable my Cash Card to be used as a payment method on my Apple Card. I’ve tried multiple times to no avail, the cash card does not show up. Instruction illustrations show a cash card slide button that can enable it as a payment method, but it doesn’t appear for me. I have latest iOS. I’ve tried power cycling my 16e.

As a workaround, I transferred a portion of my cash card balance to my bank account to cover my Apple Card monthly payment, which worked perfectly fine. But I’d like to resolve the above issue for me if possible.

Yes I believe I’ve verified my identity. I’ve used my Apple Card for years. My Cash Card is only one day old but Apple has already moved all my Daily Cash onto it and stated it’s ready to be used, and I’ve already transferred most of that balance into my checking account (which was already magically attached to my cash card). I’ve tried all variations of the steps you described above (Pay, Pay More, pay now, schedule payment, pay full balance, pay other amount, etc). No joy: the option to pay choosing Apple Cash never appears. I wonder if additional time is needed for some backend setup to my account to complete.
