How to run older versions of apps on MacBook?

Hello,

I am using a 2015 MacBook Air that I recently inherited. I wanted to use it for university but I was very disappointed to see that I wasn't able to download any note-taking app from the Appstore.

This Mac operates macOS Monterey 12.7.6 and I believe this is also the latest update available for this particular Mac. Tried to download Pages on the App Store but I keep getting the notification that the system needs macOS14 to download that.

Is there any way that I can get a previous version of pages?

Thanks in advance!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7
