Brand new Apple Studio re-starts several times a day, no error message

My brand new Apple Studio re-starts several times a day, no error message. After reading, and following, all the recommendations (I used to 'sleep' my computer, but no longer do), I am at a loss as to what to do. The only peripheral plugged-in is the Apple Studio display and speakers. Unplugging the speakers did not resolve the issue. I have no anti-virus or other computer maintenance programs installed. Last year I bought a new iMac, now also running Sequoia, that never had this problem. I am frustrated and disappointed because, after investing in a $4,000 computer and display, I have a nuisance I cannot control. If I step away from my computer for more than an hour, I come back to a screen asking me to provide my password, and then the programs load all over again. I would appreciate any suggestions, other than any dealing with hardware or software incompatibility, as there is no additional hardware or software other than MS Office for Mac. Thank you in advance.

Test the the Mac Studio using the following Energy and Lock Screen settings.

Turn On "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off"

Set "Turn display off when inactive" to 5 or 10 minutes

Leave the Mac Studio On and allow the display(s) to turn Off after 10 min

Do not select manually Sleep from the Apple Drop Down menu

Shut Down the Mac Studio when away for a day or more

Thank you. 'Prevent automatic sleeping' was already on after advice I read here. 'Enable Power Nap' is not an option I see, and I had the last three on. I will switch them to 'off' as you suggest. The second set of settings were set as you advise, except 'Require Password after screen saver begins or display is turned off.' I will come back here to report. Eventually, I hope I can turn this password setting back on to protect my work from other people's eyes when away from my desk. Thanks again, much appreciate your time and advice.

You're welcome.

Yea I'm in a private home office setting where no one else has access.

In your case, I would leave "Require password after screen saver or display off" set on Immediately or for a short time. Then use a Hot Corner set to "Put Display to Sleep" or "Start the Screen Saver" when I left the Mac unattended.

First, please respond directly to my suggestion that your Mac did NOT crash, but simply showed the Lock Screen:

<< I come back to a screen asking me to provide my password >>

Does it have ONLY the logged in user as a choice, or are there other choices?

is that the normal "Lock Screen" ?
