Reset subscriptions in the Apple community

I am subscribed to a few people of higher rank than me so that I can learn from what they say and work my way up higher in the rank and also learn how to navigate around my phone better, but everything they post on comes up under my subscriptions but it doesn’t show that I’m following it, but I can’t get rid of it and I also can’t find one or two posts that I created that are still active, so I have to do this detailed search with a filter for me as the author, Can you please tell me how to reset my subscriptions or get rid of ones that I’m not following usually what I do is I just Unfollow it and then close out the little tab of my subscriptions when I go back to it they are gone but I’ve done that with these, I’ve just closed out of it but they’re still there when I open it again.

Click here ➜ iPhone - Apple Community

The button at the top should say "Following" if you are subscribed to it. Click it, and it should change to "Follow" which should effectively unsubscribe you.

Refresh the page, and see if it stuck. If it reverts to "Following" click it again, and refresh the page. Eventually it should remain on "Follow".

I tried that, but I am still receiving emails from that community, and it’s really annoying, because I have to manually select all the emails and delete them.

Tap your profile in the top right, tap Preferences, then uncheck Following. This way you can still follow your favorite users and communities, without getting their emails in your inbox.

And by the way, once you reach Level 4, you’ll have even more options in your Subscriptions menu. Which includes sorting by just your participated threads.

Oh, no problem! Keep up the good work! You are only 5 upvotes away from level 2. Hopefully I haven’t given you false hope, and the “annoyance” doesn’t last until some higher level. It’s been almost three years since I was at that level so I don’t quite recall. 😊

Not sure if you have seen it yet, but the following Article lists all the perks you get upon reaching each level: Share what you know and get recognized - Apple Support

Unfortunately there is no master subscription reset.

You need to unsubscribe from forums., threads and people individually.

Sometimes it takes a couple fo tries to successfully unsubscribe though.

That makes sense, I subscribed to the iPhone community, Never do that! Unless you want one hundred extra emails in your inbox. Any way, it seems that I need reunsubscribe from the iPhone community because I am still receiving emails from it.

Hello!

Tap your avatar in the top right corner. Then tap “Preferences.” Then scroll down to the “Messages from Apple” section, and unselect “Following.” I also have “Participation” unselected, but that’s up to you. But unselecting “Following” will fix the flooded inbox issue for you. Make sure you press “Submit” at the bottom to save your changes.

Now you can follow people and communities again without any side effects outside of ASC.

Have a great day!

Question:
if I filter the My Subscriptions menu to just people I’m following, do I just get emails about what people I’m following are doing?

It doesn’t matter what you set the filter to. You’ll get emails for everyone and everything you follow, unless you turn off “following” in preferences.

Thanks.
What are the annoying posting limits and voting limits and other limits?
They are holding me up right now, how long do I have to wait after I set them off?

Posting limits should go away at Level 2. For Voting limits, as you go up the levels, you will get more freedom.
