Why is my Apple Music Smart Playlist not showing recent additions?

I am also experiencing this bug in Music Smart Playlists since updating to 15.4.1. It's very frustrating to have a feature that's been working for over a decade stop working after an update.

For example, a smart playlist configured to select the one most recently added track from a normal playlist will not select the track in the playlist that was most recently added to the library even though the "Data Added" column clearly shows that one file was added more recently than the other. Screenshot attached.

Some more details: If you have a smart playlist that uses "Playlist is" with limits to Most recently played, Most often played, or Most recently added, it will only show Least of those. So Most acts like Least and Least works fine. One option is to match by something else like Genre or Artist or no rule match. In this case Limit to Most and Least work properly.

Still can't get "most recently added" and "least recently added" to work regardless of other match conditions. Perhaps I'm not following exactly what you're saying. Either way, a ridiculous bug introduced by Apple for no reason.

Same here. After update to Sequoia 15.4.1 the "most recently added" doesn't work in the smart playlists. I only see tracks from about 2001 or 2002 rather than last week. What a dumb bug!

There also seems to be a related bug in Live Updating of playlists, where they don't live update. Possibly related.

Sigh. Wish Apple cared more about fixing these bugs in Music.app.
