Issue with Apple Music (windows PC) - adding new artwork has stopped working

i have been using Apple Music (windows PC) for ages and all was working fine. However today adding new artwork has suddenly stopped working. i can add the artwork ok, it shows up in Properties, but it does not show on the grid or when playing or in full screen player etc.

all artwork which i had previously added still shows fine, it is only newly added covers which do not display.

can anyone help?

When Apple axed 'cover flow' I was devastated, since I loved viewing the art and music at the same time. All of my album art is perfectly square and within resolution guideline... however on my display, they are not square, and are 104% taller. Artist icons not showing This question was asked about a year ago. No solution was provided. artist icons not showing - Apple Community I have the same problem. Many artist pictures are missing. See screenshot below. Every CD in my library has album art. It is all custom. That is, I got the album art, added it to the music files and then imported the music files to the Music app. However, despite having album art for every album still many artist images are missing. I cannot see a pattern that would allow me to determine why there is an artist picture for one and not for another artist. I have many albums that were matched. However, even among them there are artists with no artist picture. Currenently I have "Automatic update artwork" disabled because I am afraid that the Music app will mess up my custom album art. I am afraid the Music app will replace existing album art. Having this option unselected may block adding artist picture for a new album that I add to the Music library. However, I just very recently unselected that option. And the missing artist picture problem I have since a long time. What would really be helpful is some information about what "Automatic update artwork" does and does not do. Information beyond the one sentence that is given in the Music app Preferences. And how artist pictures are placed. What is the process the Music app goes through to select and place an artist's picture? What could go wrong in this process? What can one do to maximize the chance that an artist's picture is found and placed.

Album artwork missing after importing iTunes library to Music Hi, I've imported my iTunes library into Music (on Monterey), and all the music and playlists seems to be there, but alas, the album artwork is missing. (Strangely enough, a few small album artwork "thumbs" actually appear at the top of the window when playing, but nowhere else.) Maybe I've done something wrong in the process? First I converted the iTunes library into Music library (with the kind help from turingtest2), and put the new Music Library file into the Music folder. Then I put the iTunes Music folder into the Media folder (called "Medier" on my Mac), and renamed it from "iTunes Music" to "Music". I would rather not download the album artwork automatically, I'm afraid it will create a mess. (I have a lot of manually imported album covers.) Does anyone have a solution? How can I get the Music app to find/import the Album artwork?
