StandBy mode not working after iOS 18.4 update on iPhone?

After updating your 18.4 my nightstand mode has stopped working. I use this every night to give me a bedside clock. Has this happened to anyone else? I have followed all the steps to fix this but no luck.

Well, it sounds as if you have covered everything I would have suggested and a couple I wouldn't.

For what it's worth, I never turn off low power mode manually. It will eventually turn itself off, of course but having it on doesn't seem to interfere with standby mode.

Are you saying that it's not coming on at all? Every once in a while, I find it gets a bit flaky. What works then is if I make sure to lock the screen before putting it on charge.

Are you using the iPhone 13 your first post indicates? If so, that phone doesn't have an always on display. That means that even in Standby Mode, the screen will go dark. Nudging the phone or the nightstand should cause it to light up again.

I too have encountered an issue with nightstand since updating. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and have been using nightstand for ages without issue.

Now I find that the clock freezes at a random point so when I wake up in the morning it is showing a time many hours out (today it was 3:11 am when the correct time was 8:30am). As soon as I pick up the phone in ‘portrait’ the phone displays correctly including the current time.

Any thoughts and suggestions welcomed.
