Mac Mini and MBP offer different resolution selections on the same monitor

Same cable, same monitor, I just unplugged the TB4 cable from the MBP, plugged it into the Mini. Any ideas?

Mac Mini M2 available resolutions on identical monitors are different I have a new Mac Mini M2, connected to (2) Dell S2722QC monitors, both to USB-C on the Mini. Yet the available resolutions are different. The list of resolutions is identical, except on the first ("Main display") - there is an additional resolution available of 3008x1692. I happen to like this resolution, but when I click on the 2nd monitor (extended display), that resolution disappears and I'm either at 2560x1440 or 3840x2160. Only the one resolution is missing. This is the case even when I enable "show all resolutions". Have no idea why this might be. Thanks for any input.

I have 2012 Mac mini quad core 16 gb ram. i have lg 32 inch 1440 p monitor. but Mac mini show only 1080p . will anybody know how I got 1440p resolution on Mac mini. Each of the Macs has different GPUs that support different resolutions. You can learn what resolutions each supports by studying the Tech Specs of each machine. To do this first you need to know exactly which model year Mac you own:

Click the Apple symbol in the upper left of the display.
Click About this Mac
The window that opens will show the model year of the computer.
Google to find the tech specs, for example if you have a 2024 M4 Mac mini Google "2024 Mac mini Tech Specs M4" and locate the Tech Specs for that model year of Mac mini and look for the external display specs it supports. Do the same for your MacBook Pro.
