I have 2012 Mac mini quad core 16 gb ram. i have lg 32 inch 1440 p monitor. but Mac mini show only 1080p . will anybody know how I got 1440p resolution on Mac mini.

If the LG display has DisplayPort input, the you should use a Mini DisplayPort to Display Port cable.

Yes. Most any decent 4K cable should give you the higher resolution.
