How do I update my Apple TV to tvOS 18.2 for Amazon Prime Video app?

You should have enough space. It says try again later so you will need to do that. Sometimes you can’t connect to the Server which could be Internet related. If on wifi see if rebooting your modem helps.

I am having the same issue. My AppleTV is up to date and will not allow an update to 18.2. The Prime Video app states the update must be done to continue as the current app is no longer supported and 18.2 or later must be used. I can delete the app and reinstall, but am not sure how to update to tvOS 18.2 when AppleTV doesn’t offer this as an available update and states version 18.1 is the available/current update. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Hi, we resolved this by only pressing ‘Reset’. Apple TV then took itself back to its factory settings and then allowed us to update to tvOS 18.2 (we’d been stuck on tvOS 16 without even realising when the Amazon Prime app prompted the update).

’Reset and update’ didn’t work at all for us.

I was able to go in and update the Prime Video on AppleTV and it automatically updated the tvOS to 18.4.1. All is now working correctly. Perhaps you were able to resolve your issue, too. 🤞

Go to software updates in your Apple TV settings and make sure Get Beta Updates is turned OFF. That allowed me to update from 17’s to 18.5.
