To dovetail off of yoyoBen, UAD has been a great interface for me.

Thank you all for the replies. I went with the UAD Apollo X, super low latency I couldn’t get with Apogee Symphony.
Now I wish they would fix the audio recording bug. Opening Logic from terminal every time is annoying.
The bug I am referring to is that Logic will not record audio from a microphone or line input unless I open in this sequence: right click Logic app(in applications folder) and select Show Package Contents. In Contents go to Mac OS and double click on Logic Pro. This then brings up the Terminal app which asks if I should grant Logic access to the microphone. I reply yes and Logic opens and I now it records guitar/vocals accurately. I have to leave the Terminal app open. I had tried using the Apogee Symphony, Apogee Boom and Apollo Twin X, and unless I do this, they all do not record incoming audio correctly. I have used these same audio interfaces with Cubase 14 on the same computer and had no issues recording at all. This is definitely a Logic 11 bug.
As long as you don’t use tons of cpu-excessive and latency-intensive plugins, you can use any sound card. I love RME, also use UAD and sometimes Focusrite.
What bug are you referring to? I would love to learn more and how you solve it. Thank you for sharing.
