Using HomePod mini with Mac mini

When using my HomePd Mini with my Mac mini, both with the latest software releases, to play a music album using the Music app, only about 5 seconds of each song on the album plays. This condition seems to be new to the latest OS release. This condition was not occurring with earlier OS versions.

Additionally, the top of HomePod is lite as if playing.

HomePod plays the beginning of songs and then moves on to another song This does not happen all the time but it is becoming more frequent. I use Apple Music and when playing a playlist, the HomePod often plays the first few seconds of a song and then goes to another song and does it again. It is random in that there seems to be no patter with how many songs it does this for before playing a full song. Happens with both HomePod and minis. HomePod Mini no longer playing ambient sounds HomePod Mini is no longer playing ambient sounds. I’ve tried several different ways of asking but it just plays various playlists now from Apple Music instead of from the HomePod’s ambient sound collection. This seems to have started after the latest HomePod software updates that came out along IOS 16. Anyone been able to get the HomePod to play ambient sounds lately?
