Error "Verification Failed" while signing in with Apple ID on an old iPod I just found an old ipod. I tried to sign in with Apple id but an error comes up. It says "Verification Failed. The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be 'setup.icloud.com' which could put your confidential information at risk." iPhone 12: update Apple ID settings failed–problem connecting to the server. Apple ID settings verification failed due to problem connecting to the server. I've removed my iphone from my Apple ID account but can't get pass entering password without getting error message ”problem connecting to server”. Do I need to go to the Apple store for help?

You'll need to update your device as your root certificates have started to expire.
