How can I recover my missing photos on iPhone 12 after iOS 18.3.2 update?

My phone just did an automatic update to my iPhone 12. The iOS now on my phone is 18.3.2. My photos were fine earlier today, but after the update ALL of the photos taken in the current month (March 2025) are gone. They are not in my camera roll, iCloud backup which auto syncs, Photos app or in deleted photos in any of those places. Can anyone tell me how to recover these photos. Thank you.
