Games turn off podcast play

I’ve asked this before, is there any way to keep podcasts playing while playing games? I have the sound off on the games, but it keeps happening and there are no answers in the Apple community.

Apple Podcasts are fading to a pause when I open a game and won’t play in the background As of today (20230513) my Apple Podcasts are fading and coming to a pause when I open a game. This was not happening yesterday! I could always listen to Apple Podcasts in the background no matter which app I was busy with, specifically as those apps had their sound off. Is there a setting that can be turned on and off? Please advise.

Apple Podcast incorrectly marks episodes as played Something weird is happening with Apple Podcasts since the iOS 18 update. After I finish an episode, it automatically jumps to a different episode, puts it in play mode without actually starting it, and then marks it as played. This is super frustrating because I usually hide played episodes, and now it's hiding episodes I haven’t even listened to. Can someone at Apple please support me with this?
