Is it normal for iCloud to send emails about subscription expiration and storage issues?

Does iCloud ever send a email that your subscription has expired with expiration date & your photos, & videos will be deleted? Or your storage is full and everything is frozen? As far as I can tell my acct is in good shape. Thanks

Suspicious Apple Account eMails:

Yes. And this is a known scam going around. Been receiving them, myself. So, just who is the sender? Without providing it, if the domain of the sender’s email is not apple.com, then it is most certainly a scam —a scheme to obtain your Apple Credentials. So, I suggest forwarding these emails to reportphising@apple.com and that you change your Apple Account password.
