Echo while talking on FaceTime

Hey!

since I bought new iPhone 16 Pro, I’ve got an issue with echos of people hearing themselves

Every time I talk to people on FaceTime or WhatsApp, they complain about hearing themselves. I already clicked a voice isolation in the settings of the FaceTime and WhatsApp conversation and I’ve told them to do the same however it did not solve the problem tho.

I also turned down the volume and so did they but again same echoing problem.

Does anyone have this problem and know how to solve it ?

It worked fine for me with iOS 15 on my previous iPhone 11 Pro. Ever since I upgraded to iPhone 14 ProMax with iOS 16, every time I Facetime my friends and using voice isolation mode, they keep telling me they can't hear me because my voice is muffled but when I put mic mode back to standard, they could hear me fine. FaceTime mutes the other side when I speak? when FaceTiming if I speak, laugh or there’s any noise from my side the other person is automatically muted while the noise is happening and for about 2 seconds after, I’ve tried the noise cancellation setting but it’s not fixed it, I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro Max it’s running an up to date OS.

People hear my internal sounds on FaceTime I have an iPhone 15 and people can hear my videos and music when I am on Factime, but when the same people I am on Facetime with play their videos(also on their phones) I cannot hear them. We have tested this multiple times, and this never used to happen on my older models. Recently it has actually changed from bits and pieces to other people being able to hear full videos. How do I fix so they can’t hear me, I know for a fact this isn’t because I don’t wear headphones as this issue has never happened before.
