Saw previous issue in Apple Community: did not see final resolution. Considering purchase but need to ensure no blackout issues as reported.

That BenQ Display should work fine with the M1 Mac mini.
For the best results, you should get a short 3.3' high speed HDMI to HDMI cable.

or optionally, a short 3.3' high speed USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

Turn On "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off"
Set "Turn display off when inactive" to 5 or 10 minutes
Leave the Mac Mini On and only allow the display(s) to turn Off on timer
Do not manually select Sleep from the Apple Drop Down menu
Shut Down the Mac mini when away for a day or more
