iphone pro max 15 will not charge since latest software update 18.3.2

I have to plug in the charger cord .. turn phone off and back on while still connected to charger in order to charge. Will not charge unless plugged in ..turn off and back on while still plugged in.

Hello!


Please Force Restart your iPhone.


If that doesn’t work, use a different cable, wall adapter, and outlet (switch these out one at a time, so you can single out the problem.) If changing any of these doesn’t work, try wireless charging. Still nothing? Have the device examined at a Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP)

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Troubleshooting iPhone Charge:

I. Try what is on this Link: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't Turn on or is Frozen - Apple Support


II. View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: [the percentage]
  5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

Obviously, you shouldn’t be having to do that. I suggest you take the device in to a Genius Bar or AASP for examination/diagnostics.
