Glitch in updating payment method on my iPhone

I just updated my iPhone 15 and keep getting a message to update my payment method. I’ve tried several times, turned my phone off and on, but each time the code from my credit card disappears when I check again. Everything else is correct. I’ve deleted it and added it again, tried another card, but it keeps happening. Can anyone help?

Troubleshooting a Method of Payment:

So, you are getting this message after an update? Is this a used device, and this is the first time you have updated it? If so, then the seller should have performed as instructed here, including the iCloud log out. What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
