Unable to search for dates or names in Photos app after iOS 18.3.2 update
After updating to 18.3.2 a search for dates, names, or text in my photos app returns “No results”.
Anyone else have this problem?

Troubleshooting iOS Update Photos Search Bug:
You're not the first to have reported this on these forums. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported it to Apple?"
Report this to Apple...
So, do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.
👍
You are most welcome.
Excellent job troubleshooting this!
Thanks you doing your part. It will
help many, for certain!

"OK I went back and tried again. This time I cleared recent search returns from before the update. Problem solved. Weird that those prior results somehow blocked new searches but seems to be ok now."

Great work! One more thing I recommend...

I didn’t find it. It just occurred to me that the visible searches were from before I did the 18.3.2 update and so I cleared them and tried searching again. I didn’t reset. Just turned it off and back on. But that didn’t do anything.
Works fine now. Idk why clearing the previous searches mattered but in this case, that specific action eliminated the problem.

Cool! Maybe it'll work for others. I thought about the Force Quit, because that might to clear the recent results, as well. In fact, I tried it, and that seemed to clear the recents, but I don't know if it also re-started searches. Congratulations!
Clearing the recent searches might help, if Photos is caching the search results and the old caches are incompatible after an update. This should not be the case, but clearing caches is usually a good idea, if something is not working.
I like the suggestion.

Where did you find this?
Did you try a forced re-start?
Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
This is different from a simple Power Off. This have clear the "recent search results," if that's what I think it is.
Thanks and will do right now.
