AirTag not appearing in 'Items' on Find My app despite connecting and showing correct location

I've reset the air tag multiple times, new battery, etc. Every thing I've read here so far. And it connects, it shows the correct location and then when I go to find the air tag in the Find My app, there is ZERO "items". This is maddening.

find my app freezing my find-my app never works for me when i am trying to look at my airtags. when i open it and click on a device, it works fine but as soon as i click on an airtag i have, the screen freezes and i have to close it and open it again. i have tried changing the name of the airtag to see if that was the problem, and i even deleted the app and redownloaded it and it didn't work. i also erased the airtag and reconnected it and it doesn't work either. please tell me how i can fix this.

My AirTags are not showing in Find My Since the iOS 18.3 update all my AirTags have disappeared from find my. I have clicked the ‘add item’ button but it just isn’t recording any of my air tags. The air tag is working as I have revived battery and out it back in and it made the connection noise. But still not showing visible when trying to connect it. Not sure why they all disappeared in the first place after the update. I’m also getting a constant notification on my phone saying ‘AirTag found moving with you’ which is obviously mine but when I click the notification it just gives me the journey of the AirTag and where it is but doesn’t tell me it’s mine and won’t add into my find my. Find My not updating AirTag location on my iPhone with iOS 18.4.1 Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with one of my AirTags that I hope someone can help me with. The AirTag is physically with me, but in the Find My app it still shows a location from months ago (specifically, over 3 months ago), and says “last seen at [that old location].” It doesn't update its current position, and I'm unable to make it play a sound. What I’ve tried so far: Made sure Bluetooth is on Restarted my iPhone Removed and reinserted the battery of the AirTag Checked that Find My and Find My network are enabled in my iCloud settings Tried to trigger a location update by moving around with the AirTag Confirmed that the AirTag is associated with my Apple ID Despite all this, the location does not update. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a way to force a location refresh or reset the AirTag without removing it from my Apple ID? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated! A few questions, if you don't mind:

How long have you had this AirTag?
Was this always an issue or just started happening after replacing its battery?
Did you verify that the replacement battery did not have a bitterant coating?
When you replaced the battery did the tag beep when pressing down on the battery cover and rotating it to secure it?
Resetting the tag is NOT required just for battery replacement. The tag should show up in the Find My app. Since you claim that it does not, is that why you tried resetting it?
