My wife and I each have an iPhone 13. Mine is a mini. Both will shut down while charging. Then, after a few seconds, mine will restart on its own.
I’ve checked settings…both are set the same. We shut them down the same way using the side buttons.
Just trying to find out why this is happening. It’s irritating.

That is not normal behavior. If you go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health, what do you see under Maximum Capacity?
Chris thanks...shows 100%. I agree..not the normal behavior I've experienced. I just shut down from Settings now...no problem that way.
At this point I would recommend updating to iOS 18.3.2, which was released yesterday. See if that has an effect.
Now its becoming funny…it just stays off longer….in the morning it’s sitting there….”on”. I think I’ll go over to the apple store help desk.
