I am disabled due to brain injury, I have two HomePod mini that stopped working due to WiFi so should I recycle or regular trash?
I have the latest HomePod in my room and picked up a couple mini to place in kitchen and office. They weren’t used because Siri was still offering nothing, except a timer periodically. I’d rather switch my 60+ Alexa connected everything to Apple Home /matter. Every bulb in home is smart and all cameras except 1 apple home one and it never looses connection as does the one bulb that’s matter out of dozens of Wyze color. I am only buying HomeKit in future.
i tried using them as a makeshift double rear speaker setup with large HomePod II in front and they were great until they wouldn’t connect to WiFi. Support says to bring in but no, I won’t, can’t, really it’s apples problem. I updated one to 18.something and the other stayed at 17. .? I pay around 60.00 month to apple /verizon for warranty etc.apple care is absurd from first day and have never had to use it. If anything there should be just an extended warranty of two years offered since the products are considered vintage really laughably quickly. I think new phones and iPads are too fast and are ruining minds and earth. Wait at least 3 years?, I know from two flaming expensive computer and phone to pay for their insurance because they are not sure what is going to go wrong I guess? I did not buy apple insurance for these because I thought maybe they would work longer than a year or two? I should receive working products that include hardware and software at least 3-5 years incl. from a company that preaches it? I could cut wires and somehow to use as speakers? They both are brand new looking and turn on except for however apple had messed it up? think they should just send new ones honestly, because they should just work.
