I am surprised by the omission of any reference to this glare-reducing option on today's Apple product announcement. Nano Texture as a premium alternative for at least the more expensive M4 Macbook Airs was generally expected. Any explanation? Thank you.
I too am disappointed that there is no anti-glare option for the air, Here I was thinking this would be a nice roaming laptop I can get work done outside for instance.
I suspect it will come once some distance has opened up between the MB pro and MB air hardware, currently there is little incentive for a consumer to go with a more expensive pro if you can get the hardware cheaper on a air for instance so keeping the nano texture a pro feature is enough to sway people to spend more on the pro.

What people expect from Apple and what Apple announces are frequently not the same thing.
No one here in this user-to-user forum would know why Apple didn't decide to add that feature. But I'd bet cost.

Of course they are! They are company with shareholders who expect profits. Why would you think they don't care about profits?
