iTunes deleted my personal library of songs

iTunes deleted many of the songs downloaded from physical CDs in my library. What gives?

iTunes Library in computer disappeared. Where are the thousands of songs I had in it? I wanted to know where the few thousand songs I had in my iTunes Library has gone.
