How can I stop certain tracks from playing in Music app on Mac?

In MacOS iTunes it was possible to "switch off" tracks in the list of songs, so that they would not be played automatically. I do not see how this can be achieved in Music.

You can get the checkboxes back in the Music/Settings menu.

If you use shuffle then you can tick "Skip When Shuffling" in the Options tab of each songs' Info settings. You can select multiple tracks to do this with.

You could enter comments for the the tracks you don't want to play - say "Not this one" - and then create a smart playlist to exclude tracks with "Not this one" in comments.

If you never want to play them they you can delete them from your library.
