iTunes music audio files and playlist issues

I just logged into iTunes on my Mac Mini after being only on my cell & iPad for a while...

I not that not only are there many (all) playlists missing but the only audio files I can find in the programs lists of songs are one's that I purchased on line... none that I was given... no original audio files / recordings and none of the playlists that still exist in my cell phone and iPAD

Why did this happen? I did not ask for or choose this.. I want all of them back... How can I do this??

March 17th.. update... oddly my iPhone 11 only seems to still have the full files and playlists in appropriate listings... (no longer in my MAC Min iTunes as per hereto for... )

(I copied my 18 day library of sounds / music when I got the phone... and was in the habit of keeping the iOS updated...) but now my iPad has decided it needs reformatting as I took to many turns with a digitally imperfect log in... and OK I understand,, but my iPad has also another copy of my audio files I'd rather not 'disappear'... Sign... life in the digital rights age is becoming much more complicated...

Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks
