can't use/type anything in mac terminal

I have been have this issue since 2024 i have tried force quitting my terminal tried restarting and even updated macOS it still it doesn't respond and only shows this and am unable to type anything in it also , i have the same account in my macbook air and it seems to run fine in that so i don't know what the issue is

Macbook keyboard types wrong letters, numbers, symbols Suddenly my MacBook Pro, running Ventura 13.0.1 started selectively responding with different letters/numbers/symbols than were typed. Eg physically type "a" and "q" appears on screen, press "m" and a comma appears. Not all keys are affected, but all numbers are - need to press shift plus number to bring up the number onscreen. I've tried the suggested fix of simultaneously pressing command, option R and P without success. Any suggestions?

Command N stops working in all apps until restart (recurring issue for years) At some point in time, Command N for new window stops working for all apps until I restart the computer. This issue has hounded me for years over multiple versions of MacOS. I don't restart my computer too often, so at some point, something happens were I simply can't use the keyboard shortcut to open a new window in any app that I have open including the Finder. After restart, Command N works find again for days until it doesn't. I can still open a new window by using my trackpad and clicking in the File menu. I know I have to restart on a regular basis, but I just really want to know why this happens!

Exit Terminal app, open Finder app, press Command-Shift-Space toggle to show hidden files, navigate into your local Library folder:

/Users/{name}/Library/Preferences

and use Finder to rename the file com.apple.Terminal.plist to com.apple.Terminal.plist-save, and try Terminal app again.

It’s also possible one of your login scripts is messed up, but those don’t usually show up as a login command error.
