Apple Podcast not recognizing a podcast subscription

I have a 2017 iMac. I subscribed to The Rest is History podcast about 4 months ago. In the last month Apple Podcast is not recognizing I am subscribed and is not letting me download anything. I can play it on the computer, but it won't let me download it onto my iPod.

I go to the podcast website and keep trying to re-connect but it's not working. They have no tech support at all.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.12

Podcast won't download One of the podcast I subscribe to won't download. Sometimes it says its waiting, other times it starts to download and then bogs down, often it it says the time to download is X and it just keeps going up to hours. Why would just this one podcast do this? Thank you.

Adding podcast by URL gets no response I have a paid podcast with which I've been having problems for the past few months. Intermittently it fails to load new episodes and I have to delete the podcast, refollow by URL, and then go in and manually re-delete hundreds of episodes. Tedious and annoying, but workable. However, this time, when I go to refollow by URL, I get no response at all. No error message, no login, no podcast, nothing. I've tried doing it by copy-paste and manually, on my iPhone and on my MacBook Pro, with the same total lack of result every time. I've found answers in this community for what to do about various error messages, but not what to do when there is no response whatsoever. What should I try?
