Select Streaming Services Not Working On New iPhone

I’ve been having trouble with some streaming services since I got my new phone. I got an iPhone 16 Plus from Spectrum, our internet and service provider. In particular, Netflix and Viki are not working. I have tried:


  • Restarting my phone
  • Closing and reopening the app
  • Checking my settings for software updates
  • Checking the App Store for app updates
  • Deleting and redownloading the apps
  • Hard resetting the apps from settings


Both apps mentioned open and boot up fine on my phone, I can even browse and search. The only issue is they won’t actually play an episode of a show. These platforms work fine on my other devices such as my laptop and TV. Any solutions?

As mentioned in the latter portion, both apps open just fine. They allow me to browse and search. I also know it is not an issue with my subscription since the same account plays shows on other devices. The issue is when I try to start streaming something. It loads for a minute or two, then gives me an error. I’ve included a screenshot of the error message I get on Netflix.
