Music AIFF files not updating at end of playlist

I am running the Music app (1.5.2.56) on a Mac Studio (2022) with Sequoia 15.3.1 as the OS; my music library is a mix of file types (AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless, MPEG audio, Purchased AAC, WAV). Recently, around 2/23/25, I noticed that any playlist does not update the Plays or Last Played fields for the last song when that last song is an AIFF file. It will do so when that same file is in the middle of a playlist but never when it is at the end. This is exactly the same as the still-unresolved video issue (Video Playlist Does Not Update Last Item … - Apple Community) but is now moving to the Music section. If I convert the AIFF file to Apple Lossless within the Music app the problem goes away. However, I have a lot of old files on hundreds of playlists with these files and I don't really want to convert everything and manually adjust all of them. Is there some other fix that can get these AIFF files to update again?
