Why are my iPhone side buttons not working?

None of my side buttons are working. I have tried several things but have yet to find a reason this happened or a solution. Any suggestions?

iphone 8 home button doesn’t work sometimes My iphone 8 home button doesn’t work sometimes. When i have ran into this problem i just restarted my phone and half of the time it works but then half of the time it doesn’t work. Buttons no longer working I got a new iPhone 12, and one websites I use, the buttons for functions appeared as so. Ex: the “x” to exit, a pencil to edit, magnifying glass for search, etc. Suddenly those buttons disappeared and are replaced by a transparent box. What do I do? It’s starting to really bug me :( Below is what the issue looks like.

IF you truly mean none: Neither volume button, the mute switch, and the lock button on the right side of the iPhone then your phone is broken.

If you just mean the two volume buttons go to Settings/Sounds & Haptics and make sure Change with Buttons is on. If it is, turn it off, then on.
