Is lossless really lossless

I Have purchased the latest album of Dream Theater, and it should be dolby atmos and lossless in high resolution.

What do I get.... a 256 file ???

It`s the same with other stream platforms like qobuz, I buy Joe satriani in 24/96 and the result is that this file is upsampled to 24/96 coming from 16/44.

I opt for a kind of seal so the buyer can see if it is a real lossless file.

also look at what has happend with Neil Youngs business that also was upsampling.

from now on I only trust my own cd/sacd collection, until there is proof for the consumer.
