How do I set my alarm to use a song via Apple Music?

Im trying to set my alarm to use a song via Apple Music however it is not playing that song and is defaulting back to Radial. I have tried multiple different songs and yes I have disabled adobe atmos and set the quality to High Quality and redownloaded and its still not working.

The likely answer to your problem (hopefully you sussed it out yourself) is to download the song but not as lossless, only as high-quality audio; for whatever reason, even if downloaded, the Alarm app breaks with lossless audio. If you change settings back to lossless then redownload the song (even without deleting it from the library, meaning simply remove download), it will return to the broken default. Possibly it’s an inability of the Alarm’s decoder not being able to pull ALAC files.

If I’m not mistaken, even if you change settings back to lossless then redownload the song (without deleting it from the library, meaning simply remove download), it still functions as expected, at least for me on an iPhone 16. Possibly it’s an inability of the Alarm’s decoder not being able to pull ALAC files.
