Alarm is not playing my favorite song

I have downloaded my favorite song to Apple music. When I pick that song for my alarm sound, that song is not playing. Instead default alarm sound is playing.

It's really annoying.

Please help.

If you use a different song does the alarm play?

Is the song you selected downloaded to the device?

Thanks for jumping in but...Neither one song is playing. All of them are downloaded to device and it's not the thing that comes from nowhere. I can easily setup song to my friends alarm clock on his iPhone. That was issue on my old max X and now continues to 14 pro max.

Any other suggestion?

and what is Apple support going to tell them that can’t just be posted here to save us all time? A quick Google search shows they’re not the only one with this issue. I thought of downloading the songs as well, but that doesn’t work either.
