iPhone eye strain

Why do my eyes hurt using iPhone 11?

I’m stuck with my iPhone 8. It’s the only iPhone I can use right now. (And probably Iphone SE 2 and Iphone SE 3 as well).

I’ve tried using iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 Pro, but I get eye strain using them.

I guess in the case of the iPhone 13 Pro I can blame PWM. But the really weird thing is that my eyes hurt when I use iPhone 11, which has no PWM at all.

I’ve tried using them with Night Shift and True Tone on and off, I’ve also tried turning off Face ID and even taped it. Still didn’t help. This is so weird. Does anyone have the same problem?

Have the exact same issue. Tried iphone 12 and iphone 11. I am stuck on Iphone 8 plus because I get severe eyestrain on any iphone without the home button. At first I thought it was the PWM flicker issue with the OLED screens but the iphone 11 is LCD. It may be the constant scanning by the camera for FaceID. I tried putting tape over the camera and changing a bunch of settings from online suggestions but nothing worked.

I also saw my doctor and an optometrist and neither could figure out what the issue is.
