Calling using FaceTime is not working in my Mac

I am having trouble with my FaceTime and Messages app in my Mac. I have logged in using same apple account to my mac air m3 and iphone 3. But when i try to call using Facetime in my mac, it says " You have to log in using same iCloud to your device and FaceTime account" I have already done this. What should I do now???

Calling my Mac from my iPhone on Facetime Hello! I used to be able to FaceTime my Mac from my iPhone but now it's not allowing me to. I think it happened when I upgraded from the iPhone 10 to 13, but I can't be 100% sure. I used to be able to call (FaceTime) my computer at home to talk to my child that does not have a phone, from my iPhone. I hate that I cannot do this anymore and I've exhausted all attempts to find the answer online. Nothing seems to help. I did get to a point where I can get it to ring to my iPhone, but as soon as I hit "join", it says FaceTime failed. Help me please.

Using Facetime on my macbook air I want to answer some Facetime calls on my laptop and others on my phone. When I try to add my phone number to the "apple id" section in settings it tells me " this number is already in use with another account" and wont let me put it in. The apple id/email account information is the same on my iphone and macbook air so of course it is. I want the call notification to come to both phone and laptop. What am I missing? Is the "account" my apple id/account? I have also tried on my ipad...same problem. TIA
