Why can't I snooze an Apple Music alarm on HomePod Mini?

On my HomePod mini I created an alarm and set the ALARM SOUND to Play Media and chose a song from Apple Music (which I have a subscription). When this alarm begins playing the song (at the designated time in the morning) and I say "Hey Siri, snooze the alarm", Siri responds with something like "There are no alarms ringing on this device".

However, if I change the ALARM SOUND to Play Tone, and it rings the tone at the designated time, I can say "Hey Siri, snooze the alarm" and Siri says "Snoozing the alarm". And it snoozes (it pauses the sound for a few minutes and then rings again.)

Why does snooze only work with an alarm tone and not an alarm song? Am I setting it up wrong?
