Thank you for your post to the Community, and for clearly letting us know what you ave already tried.

There have been other posts with a similar situation:

Seems the feature was changed. Maybe Siri is more reliable now.

and

You can now tell Siri "Fred Smith" is my brother" etc.

Then you just tell Siri "Call my brother", and the call goes straight through and the two of you are speaking sooner.

Those who are upset about the change have said that it is possible to cause Siri to ask before calling

one contributor says

"so I put all phone numbers in twice, one as work and one as home. Siri

then asks which number you wish to call. We had to add a ; after one of

the numbers otherwise Siri was smart enough to call because the numbers

were exactly the same. It really helps if you have certain people who

you just don't want to call by accident."

Others have sent feedback to Apple to request a return to the earlier method:
