Can I create a locked Pages document with videos?

Whether you use the Finder to lock or Pages to password-protect a Pages document, anyone with account access can override the corresponding Pages change dialogs informing that one can unlock, duplicate, or move the document to the Trash. There is no absolute protection over than a backup document.

You might consider burning those videos onto a CD, or even the Pages documents with embedded video onto a CD that you place in a fireproof safe. You might consider a separate folder on that CD for just the video storage in case Apple makes future changes to Pages that don't handle the current documents correctly.

As a single 72 year old female, I absolutely love your creating these "How's To" documents with videos to help your wife out with instructions for home maintenance!!!!

I don't suppose you might be able to sell these Home Maintenance Instructions to me would you? I have looked for classes in home maintenance but have never found any. I do search the internet and YouTube for resources but many times it is hard to understand or different people say to do different things and good and trustworthy handymen and women are hard to find. I bought books a long time ago on Home Maintenance but sometimes they were hard to understand and it seemed they didn't explain things well and left steps or important info out. By you doing this for your wife I believe you are trustworthy and knowledgeable.

You could use the Notes app for this. The Notes app lets you add content like videos or media and you can also lock it. Then, share the document with your wife and she will be able to access it.
