How can I turn off autocorrect on my iPhone 13?

Autocorrect makes Bye go into Hi when I message. I don’t really like autocorrect, so how do you turn it off?

IOS 17 Autocorrect Is it my imagination, or has autocorrect in messaging gotten much worse with the IOS 17 upgrade? It massacres text and makes all the wrong assumptions. It used to be able to separate words that were inadvertently typed together. Will it improve with time? I find messaging totally laborious now.

To turn off auto correction, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > and turn off the options that you don't want.
