How to turn off autocorrect in my iPhone

My iPhone changes spelling of words even after I have corrected. It is impossible! I want to turn off autocorrect, for starters.

Why does my iPhone change correct words when typing I need to know how to disable the iPhone from changing correct words to incorrect words. Yes I have predictive typing turned off. I want it to spellcheck words that are incorrectly spelled and don’t make sense, however I do not want it to change ANY of my correct words to gibberish. This is a plague for the iPhone. It doesn’t matter if I reset the keyboard or attempt to train it to stop changing my words. I wanted to completely stop changing correct words JUST spell checking only for NOT words

How to remove auto-correction from iPhone? I dont know why but whenever I type on my iPhone it is soo hard to get a message or paragraph spelled correctly . I don't want to have to use spell check or keep erasing the words to respell !! Its sooo annoying ! I know what I am trying to write and i know how to spell but almost every word I type its wrong .. so instead of it being typed in 10 secs it doesn’t get done for like 2 minutes because I have to keep erasing and retyping it correctly !!! ??? Here is how to turn off auto correct:

Turn Auto-Correction on or off

Open the Settings app.
Tap General > Keyboard.
Turn Auto-Correction on or off

Depending on which iPhone you have … and what iOS it has, your options may be different. These are the options I see on my iPhone 13, iOS 16.7.1.

I'm my settings it's all turned off but the problems persist.
