error code -36 why can't I move items to the Bin, message says "Finder cant complete the operation"

Every time I try to move an item to the bin I receive this message: "The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “IMG_6981.jpeg” can’t be read or written. (This also happens for other file types).
