Can I connect a Mac mini to a Dell XPS One 2710 as monitor?

Buying a Mac mini, would like to use a a Dell xps 2710 as monitor, also would like to use the Dell's Bluetooth keyboard and mouse if possible, any ideas?

You’ll have to ask Dell if their machine can be used as a monitor.


And yes, it may be possible to use their Bluetooth keyboard and mouse with the Mac mini, but you won’t have the Mac specific keys.


On a Windows keyboard the Window key will act as the Command key and the Alt key will substitute for the Mac’s Option key.

The specs for the XPS 2710 say that it has an HDMI input port, so it should, at least per the specs, be possible to use it as a monitor for your Mac mini, either using the HDMI port on your mini (assuming your mini model has one) or a USB-to-HDMI adapter. Whether it would be worth it or whether it would be more practical to just get a new monitor for your mini is your call.
