Unable to connect Mac mini to 5.0GHz Wi-Fi channel

Recently got my M2 Mini Pro, my internet connection set up as follows: 2 channels from Verizon router for both channels 2.4 and 5.0 no issues. iPad and iPhone able to connect to both channels without issues. 2) Am using Apple AirPort as additional WiFi router (not Time Capsule) which I had configured for both 2.4gz and 5.0gz. Airport seen and connects to both my iPad and iPhone channels with no problem whatsoever. Added both the 2.4 and 5.0 to router as well. No problems connecting to 2.4gz and 5.0 via iPad and iPhone, but cannot connect to 5.0gz channel o Mac , continues to message not found, and sometimes asks for password. I do have the Verizon router connection directly input to Netgear managed switch and switch connected directly to AirPort. Under this configuration no problems with 2.4 (on Mac) but cannot connect to 5.0..Any Ideas?
