unable to copy from numbers 14.3 and paste into pages 14.1

Update Sonoma 14.7.1 to 14.7.4 (current) and update Pages v14.1 to v14.3 from the Mac App Store. On the System Settings > General > Software Update panel, you may see Sequoia v15.3.1, but further down on that Panel you should see Another Update is available with an associated link. That will be the Sonoma 14.7.4 update.

Once you have done that, then you can select table content in Numbers v14.3 and copy/paste that as a table into Pages v14.3. You can also have a blank table present in Pages, single-click the first cell, and then paste from Numbers and it will auto-populate that existing Pages table.

The caveat of copying/pasting a Numbers table selection into Pages is that after five columns, Pages will automatically shrink its table column width to fit the pasted data, and that may make the resulting table illegible. If The Numbers table is large enough, you may need to select that table and export it as PDF, then drop that PDF into Pages and rotate it 90 degrees.

Not everything supported in Numbers or Keynote is intended to be pasted into Pages.
